Austrian Airlines is a subsidiary of the Lufthansa group and the flag carrier of Austria. The airline is headquartered n Vienna International Airport in Schwechat. With a fleet size of 83, the airline covers over 130 destinations worldwide. The airline was formed as a merger of Air Austria and Austrian Airways and is a member of the Star Alliance.

Alliance
Star Alliance was founded in May 1997, it is one of the world's largest global airline alliances. Headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, currently have 27 member airlines who have over 670 million passengers per year. Austrian Airlines allows guests to earn and redeem miles across Star Alliance's carriers airlines. Passengers can access lounges depending on the type of flight ticket and frequent flyer status or class of travel.

Class of Travel
Austrian Airlines provides three classes of travel
Business Class- Business class passengers can relax in comfort and luxury while working on the go. The recliner seats come with inbuilt USB ports and the guests can choose from a variety of hot and cold meals.
Premium Economy Class- Premium Economy seats are designed keeping in mind comfort and spacious dimensions. The wide seats also come with adjustable headrest
Economy Class- The economy class cabin comes with standard seats with ample legroom and on-demand in-flight

Baggage allowance
Economy class passengers are allowed 8kg free baggage allowance for hand luggage and 23kgs for checked-in luggage.
Business class passengers are allowed 8 kg free baggage allowance for hand luggage and 2 pieces of 32kgs each for checked-in luggage.

Frequent Flyer Programme
Miles & More is is the frequent flyer programme, which is also Europe's largest frequent flyer programme. Member can earn miles travelling across Star Alliance member airlines. Members can also enjoy miles while planning holidays, movies, hotels and car rentals.

In-flight Services
Austrian Airline provides customers with FlyNet which is the onboard Wi-Fi which allows customers to connect their devices and surf onboard. Passengers can also purchase Austrian FlyNet in advance. Flyers can browse and read from a variety of e-journals, magazines and newspapers. Austrian Airlines provides guests with 350 hours of audio and video entertainment in high-quality. Passengers can browse through the entertainment program before the long-haul flight. Guests from all classes can choose from a variety of hot and cold meals along with an array of beverage choices. Guests can choose and book special meals 24 hours prior to departure.

Check-in
Domestic Flights - Passengers can check-in online 47 hrs prior to the scheduled departure time.
International Flights - Passengers can check-in online 47 hrs prior to the scheduled departure time.

Onboard Support
Austrian Airline provides assistance for passengers with special needs. Wheelchairs, airport assistance during check in are provided by on ground staff. Passengers can choose a service that best suits their need. Expectant mothers and parents of unaccompanied children can read rules and regulations before flying.

Refund & Cancellation
Passengers can cancel their booking either through Austrian Airline sales’ offices or website. All cancellations are subject to a cancellation fee.
